Description
Paneer pakoda is a popular Indian snack made from paneer (Indian cottage cheese). To prepare paneer pakoda, slices or cubes of paneer are coated in a spiced chickpea flour (besan) batter and then deep-fried until golden brown and crispy. The batter usually consists of besan, rice flour or corn flour, various spices like turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, ajwain (carom seeds), and salt. Sometimes, a pinch of baking soda is also added to make the pakodas extra crispy.
